We left Kearny, NJ on Tuesday and traveled on Route 80 through Pennsylvania and Ohio. That night we stayed in Elkhart, Indiana. On Wednesday we went around Chicago, Illinois and took Route 90 West.
Before I had a chance to unpack the camera we were in Oacoma SD. Wednesday night we stayed at this Comfort Inn, right on the Missouri River. On the right the hotel sign welcoming fisherman.
	Next day we stopped at the Badlands National Park in South Dakota. That night we stayed in Big Timber, MT. The next day, Friday, we were surprised by a sudden snow storm.
We were stuck on on Homestake pass in the snow for about 2.5 hours. Of course the camera was packed away again. This picture was taken in Butte, Montana. The lady Bjorn is talking to told him that they have these storms into June. After that we drove straight to the Columbia River Gorge. Friday night we stayed in The Dalles, OR. Next day we went to the Hood River Motel , right on the Columbia River. In the after noon we celebrated Earth Day in Hood River. And took a look at the Columbia River from the Washington side. And a picture of the Columbia River Research Laboratory building where Bjorn will be stationed.
	Sunday we went to Silver Falls National Park, near Salem, Oregon. On the left is a picture of the South Falls. There are seven waterfalls in less than 8 miles.
