After walking up and down the streets of Tavira, and I mean UP and DOWN, we stopped for well-deserved refreshments. Below   you see the gate to a rooftop garden. At the other end of the garden you look down on peoples backyards with orange trees and a church on the street below.

This is the Igreja do Carmo, and some of the beautiful tile work, which is all along the inside walls of this church. Below are pictures of some of the plants and the gate from the inside of the garden
