Algarve
Cape St Vincent

Monday we went to the end of the world. As this part of Portugal was thought of until Columbus came back from discovering America. We took the new highway IP1 or E1 as far west as possible. We then followed Route 125 to Villa Bispo and headed south to Sagres. From Sagres we went west along the coast to Cape St Vincent. We visited the old fort, which is now converted into a restaurant, near the light house. And we took a tour of the lighthouse and climbed to the top.

Here are some pictures of a restaurant in an old fort near Cape St Vincent,
and some of the views of and from the old walls.
The restaurant in the old fort was not open yet, so we stopped for coffee accross the road.
The decorations in that restaurant were very nice, I especially liked this tile world map.
