Algarve

Our first trip outside Cabanas took us to Loulé. Loulé is a nice town with beautiful narrow streets and great squares. We went to do some shopping at the Gypsy Market which comes to town every 2 weeks. After the market we walked around town and had a nice lunch at an outside cafe. The weather was so nice and warm that with lunch I ordered a large glass of beer.

While in Portugal we usually ate this great bread called "pão integral"; it's a whole wheat bread that has the texture of a multi grain bread, but a much better flavor. So far I have not been able to find it in Kearny. I did find this wonderful article on the Internet. To read it click on the picture. >>
