Algarve

The next day took the IP1 all the way to the east of the Algarve. We visited the castle of Castro Marim and the town of Villa Real de Santo António. We had an other beautiful sunny day. For lunch I had an "Uitsmijter". When I saw this Dutch specialty on the menu I could not resist. That night Tante Riet made "Nasi Goreng" (Indonesian Fried Rice) for dinner. My wish to try "Cataplana" the Portuguese specialty, was put on hold another day.

Castro Marim - Villa Real de Santo Antonio
After we parked the car we still had to climb further to get to the castelo

This is the museum on the grounds of the castelo; it just closed for siesta as we arrived. We were allowed to  climb the stairs to get on the top of the wall.

It was quite a climb, but as you can see the views were well worth it.

After the tour of the castelo we drove to Villa Real de Santo António. While shopping we saw this great looking cellular network tower.
